Winter Solstice Celebrations
December 21, 2025
A lantern-lit procession through Dufferin Grove Park on the longest night of the year. With glowing puppets, seasonal music, wassailing traditions and community-made ornaments, this is a gentle celebration of light, resilience, and togetherness.

Night of Dread Festival
October 2025
Our beloved annual festival of pageantry, puppetry, and participation. Night of Dread invites the city to satirize, confront, and laugh at our big fears for the world — together — through giant puppets, masked performances, live music, installations and a firey finale.

The Machine
Summer 2025
The Machine is a compact, dark, clown and puppet fueled satiric street show that explores the hubris of capitalism and technology. The creation and development of this production was made possible through Clay and Paper Theatre's Summer Residency Program.

How to Find Us
Clay and Paper Theatre is the resident theatre company of Dufferin Grove Park, and our season of theatre/engagement in the park takes place year round. Dufferin Grove Park is located at 875 Dufferin St, Toronto, ON M6H 3K8. The Park is one block southeast of Bloor St.W. and the Dufferin TTC Station, on the east side of Dufferin Street, across from Dufferin Mall.
Clay and Paper Theatre works out of the Field House located on the east side of the park, beside the soccer field from late May to late October. We also run workshops out of Dufferin Grove Park’s 's rink house located on the west side of the park and closest to Dufferin St.
