Current and Upcoming Events

We gather with our neighbours in parks, on streets, and in public spaces all year long through theatre and storytelling. Explore what’s happening now at Clay & Paper Theatre - plays, parades, giant puppets, workshops, and community-built performances that bring story to life in the public realm.

  • The Machine

    Remount Summer 2026

The Machine is a compact, dark, clown- and puppet-fuelled satiric street show skewering the hubris of capitalism and technology. Created and developed in 2025 through Clay & Paper Theatre’s Summer Residency Program.

  • A Winter Solstice Journey

    December 21, 2025

A lantern-lit procession through Dufferin Grove Park on the longest night of the year, where we move together through a guided journey of ceremony, story and song. With an array of glowing puppets, this is a gentle celebration of light, resilience, and togetherness.

  • Night of Dread Festival

    October 2025

Our beloved annual festival of pageantry, puppetry, and participation. Night of Dread invites the city into a month-long theatrical journey — from collective creation to a powerful park pageant — where we confront and laugh at our deepest fears for the world together through giant puppets, masked performances, live music, installations, and a fiery finale.
